Having shown Bearded Collies with some success since 1972, making up a home bred Champion dog, two individual CC winning bitches, and exporting several overseas whom gained their titles, I decided in 1989/90 to look for a smaller breed. I had seen a Lowchen bitch in 1975 at a local Open Show & being unable to afford the price of a puppy at that time, I now decided to try and find a bitch puppy to show. Unable to find a suitable puppy, my first Lowchen came as a two year old, namely Duncara U Mind a Morning Song. Symphony did a little winning in the show ring, but proved her worth as a brood bitch. Mated to Ch. Tethall Damson Design she produced 4 bitch puppies & 2 dog puppies in her first litter. Annie was kept and went on to become my first home bred Lowchen Champion, in total she won 3 CC's and 3 Res CC's.

Trying to get puppies from Annie was, at first, quite difficult, so Sally Gibbons let Tethall Fantom Forester come to live with us as an 8 week old puppy on a "see how he turns out" basis. Teddy exceded all our expectations and took his first C.C. with BOB at Leeds Ch. Show at the age of 6 1/2 months of age. He soon gained his title, taking his third C.C. at the Club Ch. Show with a record entry of 82 Lowchen.

Although mated several times, Annie seemed unable to produce bitch puppies, she did ,however, produce very good dog puppies. Mated to Pridesden Papparazzi she produced 4 black & gold dogs, Bobby stood out from day one and went on to become Ch. Banacek Call It The Blues.

Bobby won in total 7 CC's & 7 Res Cs. He was BIS at the Lowchen Club Open Show at the tender age of 12 1/2 months. Since retiring from general competion, Bobby has made several appearances at Club shows in Veteran classes and has won Best Veteran Dog and Best Veteran in Show.

He has had a successful stud career, producing our own Champion Banacek Heartbeat, and Mary Fallas's Champion Dalsetter Teddy Bear.

His other CC wining progeny are :

Aquilonia Rhythm'n Blues, Rhapsody in Blue and Touch of Blue for Cilleine all out of Aquilonia Totally Tipsy.

Currently, we are showing a young bitch by Bobby out of Beaulion Cariad, called Banacek Bobby's Girl.

Being unable to produce a bitch puppy from Annie, Janet Edwards came to the rescue and offered to let Cleeview Brave Lady come and live with us. Mated to Bobby she produced Ch. Banacek Heartbeat (Rowan) who eventually gained his Title at the age of 6 years.

He also has had a successful stud career producing our Banacek Walking on Sunshine (2CCs & 2Res CC's). Libby is now living a life of luxury as a much loved pet with two little girls.

Mated to Aquilonia Totally Tipsy, he produced Anne Smith's winning dog, Aquilonia Sultan of Swing .

Holly started her show career with a bang. Her first show was Blackpool Ch. Show where she won Puppy Bitch at 6 1/2 months of age. At 9 months she was Best Puppy in Show at a Limit Show and has had several Best Puppy in Match and Best in Match.

She ended her puppy career at L.K.A. coming 2nd in Puppy Bitch to the Bitch C.C.winning Puppy who was also B.O.B. & Best Puppy.

Holly is now a Junior and we have high hopes for her in the future.

Ginny (Aquilonia Ginny Come Lately) will be mated to Bobby as soon as she comes into season. She is litter sister to A. Sultan of Swing.
